🌟 Welcome to the AMZ Sensory Room

Our sensory room has been designed as a calming, therapeutic, and engaging space for adults with additional support needs. Each booking provides exclusive, sole use of the room, ensuring privacy, comfort, and a fully personalised experience. The space offers a peaceful environment filled with gentle lighting, soothing sounds, tactile surfaces, and interactive elements that help support relaxation, emotional regulation, sensory exploration, and overall wellbeing.

Alongside the room’s built-in features, we provide a selection of sensory boxes, each designed around a different sensory theme. These boxes allow service users to explore lights, textures, movement, sounds, and other sensory experiences at their own pace. You are free to choose any of these during your session and tailor the experience to suit the individual’s needs and preferences.

Please note that AMZ support staff do not remain in the room during sessions. Each service user must attend with their own support worker/s, who must stay with them for the full duration of the session. This ensures safety, comfort, and uninterrupted engagement within the space.

To keep the sensory room enjoyable for everyone, we kindly ask that you leave it as you found it, tidy away any sensory boxes or equipment you use and ensure the space is left clean and safe for the next person. Please note that no food or drink is permitted inside the sensory room to protect the equipment and maintain a clean, calming environment for all users.

When arriving for your sensory session, please be aware that the front door to the AMZ building is locked for security. If no one is present at reception when you arrive, please contact Amy on 07932 752281 and she will assist you.

We look forward to welcoming you into our sensory room and hope it becomes a calming, joyful part of your routine.
